KotG MVP 2000-2001
One of former coach Dave Whistle's "Bracknell Bunch", Shane Johnson has settled himself firmly in the teal, red and white of the Giants. With his "in your face" style defence, Shane isn't afraid to get involved and has shown that he can contribute to the team's offence as well. Most memorably, he scored two goals in the 2003 ISL Playoff Finals, securing victory for the Giants.
Johnson has plied his trade not only in Belfast, but in Bracknell, London, with the Canadian National team and at Boston University.
After a season and a bit with SLough Jets in the EPL, the Sheffield Steelers, twice, and a short spell with the Cardiff Devils, Shane returns "home" for the 2007/8 season. Giants fans will be delighted to see that number 4 back on the Odyssey ice.
