Selected by Philadelphia in the first round of the 1992 NHL draft, Jason went on to play 77 games in the 'show'.
Signed up by Dave Whistle in the Giants first season, Bowen soon became a fans favourite, playing a major role in the Giant's first Championship win.
A lack of work permits prevented Bowen signing for the Giants during the 2002-2003 season. Joining the ill-fated Scottish Eagles, Jason made a memorable first return to the Odyssey, making sure Belfast didn't forget his hitting ability. When the Eagles folded, Jason played out the rest of the season with the Guilford Flames, in the BNL, before returning to the Giants the following season.
