Signed as injury cover for Mike Minard, Phillipe DeRouville joined the Giants from Italian Serie 2A side Neumarkt Egna Wild Goose where he claimed a 0.900% save percentage and 3.48 Goals Against Average.
DeRouville also played 3 games for the NHL Pittsburgh Penguins with a 3.18 GAA and a .903 save per centage after being drafted in the fifth round in 1992.
