Marc Levers joined the Giants after several seasons with arch-enemies the Nottingham Panthers and also a season spent at the Basingstoke Bison.
Giants fans hoped that the old adage "Once a Panther..." would not apply and in the case of this player it didnt, except when playing against the Sheffield Steelers when he seemed to play just that little bit harder. Derby-born Levers brought speed, tenacity and goal scoring to the Giants third line.
