KotG MVP 2003-2004
After playing on the amazing Ruff, Riehl and Berens line, Jason moved to the DEL, playing for Ingolstadt. In an injury hit season he managed to play only 23 games, for 0 goals and 8 assists.
Jason moved back to Belfast in 2003/2004 leading the Giants points scoring with a magnificent 88 points from 56 games.
On returning to Belfast for a 3rd time for the 05/06 season, and after a good start to that season, Jason Ruff left the team just after Christmas with a bad groin injury and returned home to take up a coaching role with his hometown junior team Lethbridge Hurricanes.
Ruff played his final season for the Giants in 06/07 setting new records for points, goals and assists in the Giants uniform. Now entering retirement, the man considered by many to be THE greatest Giant will be sorely missed around the Odyssey.
