Doucet comes to Belfast from the Tillburg Trappers of the Dutch league where he picked up 76 points in just 41 games last year. Doucet will be required to be a key set up man and offensive leader.
Midway through the saeason Doucet was badly injured when linesmen fell on him while attempting to stop an altercation with Clan player Sam Zajac. Doucet badly damaged knee ligaments to end his season after having a great impact. He will be missed.
