With only 9 games left for the Belfast Giants in the hunt for the Elite League title, Tony Hand's team hit the road for two games and hope to add 4 vital points.
However they'll expect no favours in the first game. The Nottingham Panthers have become bitter rivals of the Giants and with them recently acquiring a number of locked out NHL players, the Giants will face a tough challenge gaining maximum points. The Panthers may be 6 points behind the Giants but they are out to springboard themselves into a good playoff campaign.
It is Sunday nights game, however, that the Giants fans are holding their breath about. Coventry Blaze are the Giants number one contender for the title and the clash between these two will prove as both a vital "4 pointer" and a taster for the forthcoming double header in the Odyssey arena. Few disagree that it will be that double header that will decide where the second Elite League title will go.
The ability to win the title is still in the Giants hands, and they will be hoping to over turn a lack of road consistency and bring 4 points back to the Odyssey Arena in this tense title race.
