Giants win in London
16-Oct-2004The Belfast Giants twice came from behind to draw level and then secure victory in overtime in a tough Elite League clash against the London Racers on Friday night.
The Giants goals in regulation time came from Fredrick Nasvall and player/coach Tony Hand. With the game tied at 2-2 in overtime, London made a brave move to win the game by pulling their netminder. However this was exploited by George Awada who scored into the empty net to secure the victory for the Giants.
The Giants face Sheffield tonight, marking a return to the Odyssey for the first time for former Belfast boss Rob Stewart.
