The team returned to winning ways this weekend with the first home victory of the season, and posted a 5-0 shut out over the London Racers.
London made their return to the Odyssey with a new look team coached by Dennis Maxwell who had to spend the game on the bench after receiving a match penalty in their previous nights 4-0 loss to Cardiff.
Giants' opener of the night came from Fredrick Nasvall, but the London floodgates opened in the second period with Tony Hand scoring 2 goals and Shane Johnson scoring unassisted and recording his fourth point of the game. Todd Kelman sealed the lid on the London coffin with the fifth goal, and last year's basement boys were sent back to the capital to ponder on what could have been.
Belfast make a trip across the North Channel today, and while Coach Hand mightn't have been too sure which London team he was about to face earlier in the week, he'll be in no doubt of the challenge ahead of tonight, when he returns to his old stomping ground of Dundee.
