Nasvall Predator
07-Sep-2004The Belfast Giants have signed another European player, Fredrick Nasvall, who joins the team after having spent the past two seasons in the top Italian ice-hockey league.
Nasvall has filled one of the final gaps in the Giants' roster and therefore a temporary contract for Coach Hand's old team-mate Ed Courtenay is no longer required.
The Giants may not have completed their signings for this season though. Both Gareth Martin and Willy Morrison (Mark's younger brother) are understood to be training with the team this week, with a view to securing a place on the roster.
The Giants' roster currently includes: Mel Angelstad, George Awada, Curt Bowen (assistant coach), Jason Bowen, Roman Gavalier, Tony Hand (coach), Curtis Huppe, Leigh Jamieson, Shane Johnson, Diarmuid Kelly, Todd Kelman, Martin Klempa (net minder), Marc Levers, Chris McGimpsey (reserve netminder), Mark Morrison, Fredrick Nasvall, Graeme Walton.
