Mel "The Mangler" Angelstad signs.
12-Aug-2004It was confirmed today that minor league hard-man Mel Angelstad has been signed for the forthcoming season
Angelstad will undoubtedly put to bed the fans worries about both Hands recruiting abilities and also that the enforcing duties would have been left solely to defenceman Jason Bowen.
Coach Hands latest signing played two games for the Washington Capitals last season, but his presence has been made felt playing in various minor leagues around North America where he regularly amassed triple digits in pims.
This raises a couple of questions. If this hockey hard-man amasses a ton of pims, will he be seen as an enforcer or a goon? Will the league officials be as eager to punish him as they were a certain other enforcer last season? Only time will tell.
