Last nights draw between the Sheffield Steelers and Manchester Phoenix was not the result the Belfast Giants were hoping for.
With the Steelers and Phoenix now on 3 points each, the task facing the Giants looks monumental.
Tonights game against the Steelers will see the Giants looking for only their second win against the Yorkshire outfit this season. The Steelers have come out on top in 7 of the 9 meetings this season, with the Giants only managing one win and one draw.
A defeat will see the Giants out of the contention for a spot a next weekends playoff finals in Nottingham, rendering Saturday's game against the Phoenix meaningless.
