Gardiner Cup to feature Giants

Today the Belfast Giants announced their participation in the Gardiner Cup, a four team tournament hosted by the Edinburgh Capitals and featuring two American Hockey League teams, the Toronto Marlies and the Hamilton Bulldogs.
The tournament will take place over the weekend of 26th & 27th September with the Capitals facing the Marlies and the Giants facing the Bulldogs. The winners of the two semi-finals will face off against each other on the Sunday, with the losers facing a 3rd place playoff game. If the Giants and Capitals meet each other over the weekend, it will count as an EIHL game.
