Triumphant Giants Begin Playoff Quest

Double Cup Winning Coors Belfast Giants tonight begin in the quest for a domestic hat-trick as the Cardiff Devils visit for the 1st leg of the Playoff Qualifiers
The winner of this fixture is set to meet either the Sheffield Steelers or the Edinburgh Capitals next Saturday for the Semi Final of the showpiece Playoff Finals Weekend at the NIC in Nottingham
The Giants knocked the Devils out of the Knock Out Cup on the way to eventually lifting the trophy on Thursday night past. However given the Giants fixture congestion the Devils come into the game well rested and have been resurgent following that semi-final defeat
The Giants however will be bouiant following their defeat of the Manchester Phoenix at the Odyssey Arena, 2 trophies in one season being one of the most successful accomplishments in the history of the Giants. In the celebrations it was plain to see that the players wanted 1 more. Malcolm MacMillan clearly pointing to the cup and shouting "one more!"
