Tonight sees the Belfast Giants attempt to win their second trophy of the season. Facing off against them will be Tony Hand’s Manchester Phoenix team. The tie is all square, the 1st leg, last Sunday night, finished 3-3 setting up yet another tense encounter between the two sides.
The Giants will be hoping that history repeats itself, the two teams having met only just over a week ago in the second leg of the Challenge Cup final, a game which saw the Giants overturn a one goal deficit to lift the cup infront of a sellout crowd at the Dundonald International Ice Bowl.
Tonight’s game is back at the Odyssey Arena and if you can’t make it will be live here on KotG and via webcast by our good friends over at GiantsLive.tv
In other news today, Giants forward Jason Rushton has flown back to Canada having been deregistered for the rest of the season.
