Giants Win Challenge Cup

In a packed Ice Bowl the Giants fans witnessed a hard fought game between two of the most skilful sides in the league which remained deadlocked until Mike Burgoyne skated coast to coast with a magnificent winner
The Giants have been dogged in seasons gone by with the Challenge Cup being the one main trophy eluding them, thoughts drift back to the Final v Ayr in 2002. Tonight they put that to bed and pick up the first in their quest for 3 pieces of domestic silverware this season.
Next comes the Knockout Cup, which begins this Sunday, once again against the Phoenix, in Altringham Ice Dome.
