The Belfast Giants confirmed last evening that the club is seeking new sponsorship partnerships to work with in the 2004/05 season.
The Giants were aware at the start of the this season that it would be the last in relationship with Harp Lager, who have been the main sponsors for the past 4 years, but Belfast Giants' General Manager, John Elliot, confirmed that work behind the scenes has been ongoing to secure new business links for next season.
"2004 will see Harp working in new areas and with this in mind we have been speaking to several potential partners about the exciting opportunities for name/shirt sponsorship of the Giants for the 2004-2005 Elite league season and beyond. We expect to be in a position to make further announcements shortly before the start of the next season."
John Elliot was appointed after the club survived changes in the league structure requiring a stringent financial restructure.
We knew it was critical this 4th season, to implement strict cost management disciplines while working in partnership with the local community, our loyal sponsors and continuing to grow the fan base."
"I am pleased to say that we have made excellent progress in acheiving our goals to date including most recently the renewal of a new 1 year Powerade sponsorship for 2004. We are celebrating good attendances which are on a power with our business plan.
