Unfortunately, Lee Jinman carried on where he left off on Wednesday and netted Panthers' first of the night on the powerplay after just 90 seconds. Stancok and Cadotte made it 3-0 before the first intermission, and the goals continued into the second with Cadotte and Jinman adding two more. Ahlroos and Struch took the total to 7 for the Panthers, while Paul Sample scored one for the visitors.
Two goals from Curt Bowen and Jason Ruff narrowed the gap slightly in the third but the mountain was just too high as the Nottingham Panthers move on in search of their first piece of silverware in several years, at the Challenge Cup final.
