Giants Take Their Hat Off To Martin!
06-Sep-2008 | Discuss this ArticleIn a tight game at the Odyssey Arena, the Coors Belfast Giants open their EIHL Account witha 5-3 win over the Cardiff Devils.
Andrew Martin was the star of the show, the new addition opening his Giants account with a hat-trick. While Bobby Robins complete scoring with a brace of his own.
In a topsy-turvy game the Giants at times were out muscled by the likes of Brad Voth, and a poor lapse of concentration at the end of the first period left them conceeding two goals in under a minute. Bu the response came after a final period flourish.
The Giants now travel to Edinburgh to take on a Capitals side who tonight beat the Sheffield Steelers 3-1 in Sheffield Arena.
