Capital Start to the New Season
23-Jul-2007 | Discuss this ArticleThe Belfast Telegraph reports today that the Coors Belfast Giants will face-off against the Edinburgh Capitals, on Saturday 8th September at the Odyssey Arena, in their first game of the new EIHL season.
Unlike the previous few seasons, the Giants will not be coming into their first league game 'cold', as they have two pre-season games against Swedish team Huddinge, in Dundalk, the preceding weekend [more details]. Hopefully, these games will help the Giants settle in to new lines and prepare for the upcoming season.
There will be a number of new faces on both sides making their Odyssey debut as the Giants attempt to regain the EIHL Title they narrowly lost last season to the Coventry Blaze.
In a season that will see the Giants return to Challenge Cup competition as well as compete 4 home fixtures in the Dundalk IceDome, fans will only have one more day to wait before the full fixture list is released tomorrow afternoon.
