The Coors Belfast Giants brought a large amount of supporters over to the Murrayfield Arena for two back to back weekends games against the Edinburgh Capitals
In an end to end tough fought game it was the Giants who took the spoils, opening in emphatic fashion when a pass by Todd Kelman from the Giants redline, met Jason Ruff on the offensive blueline and the Giants top points scorer made easy work of placing the puck into the home sides net
From thne on the Giants remained somewhat in control, despite a few shakey defensive moments, not least on the powerplay. However, further goals from Todd Kelman, Jeff Hutchins, Curtis Huppe and a shorthanded goal from Mark Dutiaume gave the giants the first 2 points of the weekend.
The team, and the fans, return the next night for round two!
