Vipers Bite Back
08-Apr-2006The Coors Belfast Giants crashed out of the EIHL playoffs with a 4-2 defeat to the Newcastle Vipers in their semi-final game today.
The Vipers started well with an early goal and then doubled their lead before the end of the first period. Despite two goals from Curtis Huppe the Giants never managed to draw even and the Vipers quickly restored their two goal cushion each time.
In the other semi-final the Sheffield Steelers defeated the Cardiff Devils in a tight game which needed penalties to split the teams.
The Vipers and Steelers will meet in tomorrow's final, which faces off at 3pm
