The Belfast Giants have joined forces with a local woman to help raise much needed funds for Northern Ireland charity Action Cancer. Linda Dowie, an Action Cancer employee from Bangor, has set herself the challenge of running the Prague half marathon in April and has received the support from The Belfast Giants to help her on her way.
Following their recent success in becoming the champions of the Elite League, The Belfast Giants have donated a shirt signed by many of the award winning players including Theo Fleury, George Awada, Shane Johnson, Curtis Huppe, Mike Minard, Nathan Craze, Steve O'Brien, Jason Bowen, Leigh Jamieson, Colin Shields, Marc Levers, Rob Stewart, Mark Morrison and Graeme Walton. This really is a must have for every Belfast Giant fan!
The shirt is being auctioned on eBay at www.ebay.co.uk to the highest bidder and all money raised will go towards Action Cancer’s life saving services which include early detection, counselling and support, cancer prevention and health promotion for the people of Northern Ireland.
