A week on from the disappointing defeat against the Cardiff Devils, the Belfast Giants have another chance to clinch the Elite League Championship, this time without taking to the ice.
The Newcastle Vipers face Cardiff in Newcastle, with a Cardiff win in regulation handing the league to the Giants.
The Devils go into this game on a 5 game winning streak, the last game they lost in the league was at home against the Giants in February. The Vipers on the other hand have only won one game since going down 5-1 to the Devils, winning in the last minute of O/T against a resurgent Sheffield Steelers.
Any other result than a regulation win for the Devils will mean that the Giants will need a win in Basingstoke (regulation or O/T) to secure the league.
