02-Dec-2005 | Discuss this ArticleThis weekend the Coors Belfast Giants travel to Edinburgh to face the Capitals twice in two days.
The two games between the sides this season have both been played in the Odyssey and both have been home wins, but, the resurgent Caps have picked up 3 points from their last two games in Edinburgh, drawing and defeating last season’s grand-slam winners, the Coventry Blaze.
A large travelling support is expected and the Belfast fans will be hoping, despite the Giants missing Curtis Huppe and Rob Stewart through injury, that the Giants can come away with all 4 points. Also re-joining the Giants after the shock exit of Chris McGimpsey, will be GB under 20 netminder Nathan Craze.
For those fans travelling, there will be one minutes applause before the game on Saturday evening as a mark of respect to George Best. There is also a party arranged on Saturday night in Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange (over 18s only).
