27-Oct-2005The Coors Belfast Giants great start to the season is in danger of coming off the rails with some inconsistent results of late. Last Saturday nights 3-2 overtime loss at the Odyssey Arena to the Cardiff Devils was followed swiftly by a hammering of the Newcastle Vipers 8-2 the very next day in their own barn.
However the Giants failed to build on that away win as they lost 5-3 to the Nottingham Panthers last night for the first time in five visits. The team lost any hope of taking even a point from the game after several players, including player/coach Ed Courtenay, received various misconduct penalties midway through the third period.
The Giants road trip continues tomorrow night as they travel to Sheffield to face the Steelers before returning home on Saturday to face the London Racers for their first game at the Odyssey Arena this season.
