The Coors Belfast Giants coach, Ed Courtenay, has clinched the signing of ex-Giants coach and player Rob Stewart.

Stewart, who iced over 220 times with the Giants, has been signed on a temporary basis, covering for the injured Shane Johnson.

Rob will make his comeback on Thursday night, when the Giants face Mike Blaisdell’s Nottingham Panthers. Icing with the Panthers will be the Giant’s all-time top point scorer Curt Bowen, who scored 180 points in the 209 games he iced with Belfast. This will be Curt’s first return to the Odyssey since turning down the coaching position in the summer.
