CAN$1.5M Investment for Belfast Giants.
28-Jun-2005John Elliott today confirmed that Jim Yaworski, a Canadian businessman, would be investing CAN$1.5 million into the Belfast Giants.
Having met captain Shane Johnson on a flight a few years ago, Jim has kept a close eye on the Giants and when the opportunity arose to invest Jim was very positive.
Mr Elliott hopes to confirm the name of the Giants new coach in the coming days, having received interest from across the globe.
Next seasons fixtures have been agreed and are up for approval by the Elite League board. Mr Elliott confirmed that next seasons Challenge Cup would be a stand alone competition and that the Giants would not be involved due to clashes with Odyssey bookings and a tight schedule.
